WN 7 series

The machine base consists of a monobloc heavy duty normalized
frame structure and strong supports assuring its perfect stability.
The saw carriage guideways are located on the monobloc
structure thus assuring their perfect parallelism and rectilinearity.
The special base structure and the positioning of the guideways and
guide rollers assure an optimal weight balance of the saw carriage.
The absence of saw blade vibrations is granted by the top guide
which is positioned right beside the saw blade hub. The extremely
linear movement of the saw carriage is obtained by a rack and pinion
system and by a brushless motor installed on the saw carriage itself.

The Active philosophy is the result of technological research into product analysis and improvement. Through the detailed study of each single movement we reached the aim of optimizing and strengthening the performances of Selco’s sizing centres.

The WN 7 series is the realization of an Engineering Project developed using the most advanced and innovative technological solutions to improve production efficiency and quality. The WN 7 is a high performance single cutting line series designed to satisfy the most demanding manufacturer.

“Quick change” system for fast saw blade change (patented).

The blades raising is obtained by a Brushless motor and a ball screw system. This system guarantees both accuracy and rapidity in the blade projection adjustment.

The heavy duty pusher carriage for precise and fast panel positioning is driven by a brushless motor. The supporting table under the pusher carriage is equipped with idle independent rollers to avoid any scratching on panels with delicate surfaces.

The independent self-levelling grippers assure the firm clamping of the stack of panels. Their special structure and the machine logic allow the total ejection of the stack of panel beyond the cutting line, thus facilitating their movement and the unloading of the trim cuts produced.

The pressure beam has a dual structure for an even controlled pressure on the stack of panels to be cut.

A new-concept side aligner (patented) located inside the pressure beam aligns the material, exerting a pressure in the point where the cut has to be made.

The pressure beam has a single structure for an even controlled pressure on the stack of panels to be cut. The closing of the grippers passages is guaranteed by a gravity system.

The side aligner is integrated with the saw carriage. Its characteristics align perfectly even thin or flexible panels reducing cycle cutting time.

The lift table consists of a strong frame raised and kept perfectly leveled by four bronze volutes and steel screws simultaneously moved by a gear box. The frame is equipped with a special structure to load the pile of panels directly by forklift.

Turning station (Selco patent) for the rotation of the stack of panels keeping the alignment to the reference point before and after the rotation. Panel clamping devices avoid the misaligning of the stack during the rotation phase. The stack of panels is aligned before and after the rotation with two separate groups of squaring devices.

Main machine frame with air jet for gentle handling of delicate materials. It cleans as well the machine table around the blade.

Robotic saw blade tool changer (Selco patent). Thanks to this device and the numerical control software, the main saw blade is automatically replaced in few seconds.
